The Small Business Fees and Charges Rebate has increased from $2,000 to $3,000.
Eligible businesses can use the rebate to claim local and state government fees and charges, including road tolls for business use, council rates, and licence fees.
Employing businesses can also claim 50% of the cost of COVID-19 rapid antigen tests up to $3,000.
If you registered for the rebate when it was $2,000 you’ll receive an automatic $1,000 increase.

Small Business Support Program extended to 29 April
|
Businesses impacted by the COVID-19 Omicron wave can apply for a one-off payment to cover costs such as wages, rent, marketing and perishable goods.
The payment will equal 20% of your weekly payroll for February 2022.

More financial support for commercial landlords
|
Applications are now open for eligible landlords who provided rent relief to retail or commercial tenants from 14 January to 13 March 2022.
You could receive up to $3,000 a month to help cover the cost.

Promote your business with the NSW Seniors Card program
|
The Seniors Card or Senior Savers Card are now available on the Service NSW app, making it more convenient for customers to benefit from savings when they shop with your business.
With more than 1.8 million cardholders in NSW, if you’re not part of the program, apply online to promote your business to this growing audience.

No more single-use plastics
|
From 1 June 2022, the supply of lightweight plastic shopping bags will be banned in NSW. From 1 November 2022, the bans will also include:
- single-use plastic straws, stirrers, cutlery, bowls, and plates – some exemptions will apply for providing a plastic straw for people with a disability or medical need
- expanded polystyrene (EPS) takeaway food containers
- single-use plastic cotton buds and rinse-off personal care products containing plastic microbeads.
The ban applies to all commercial businesses, including retail, hospitality, manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers – and charitable, sporting, education and community groups.
