NIGEL FARAGE – AUSTRALIAN SPEAKING TOUR
British politician Nigel ‘Mr Brexit’ Farage has announced his return to Australia with a speaking tour, presenting “An Entertaining Evening with Nigel Farage” 26th – 29th September 2022 in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
The former Brexit Party leader and raconteur is here with a clear message; “The history and identity of the West is under threat from enemies abroad and here at home. It’s time to stand and fight.”
As the great political ‘disruptor’ noted for his sometimes-controversial speeches, Nigel was the face of the successful campaign to take the UK out of the European Union in the 2016 Brexit referendum, positioning the referendum as the start of a global populist wave against the political establishment, changing the world of politics as we now know it.
“I’m very much looking forward to making my return to Australia – it’s been far too long. As much as I enjoy my weekly slot on Sky News with Paul Murray, to come and speak to audiences live again is a very exciting prospect. The entirety of Western civilization, which was built and defended at great cost, is under threat. I think I’ve seen enough in the UK and America to offer some advice to those in Australia of a conservative disposition and believe in who we are as a people once again”, says Nigel.
Described as “the most important British politician of the last decade” and one of the most influential, Nigel Farage is co-founder and long-serving leader of the UK Independence Party (UKIP) and the Brexit Party (now Reform UK). As a renowned provocateur, Nigel will no doubt provide an entertaining evening discussing key international and domestic political topics throughout the tour, deriding the Liberal Party here in Australia. “The lesson in Australia and around the Western world is that when Conservative parties fail to be conservative, they lose elections.” says Nigel.
Australia’s relationship with China with the expansion of the Chinese naval bases in the region, and the recent trilateral AUKUS security pact between the UK, US and Australia will form key talking points during the speaking tour, including the question about current American leadership.
With the tagline “politics needs a bit of spicing up”, this September’s tour is set to ignite the Australian audience with a prominent narrative that the entire English-speaking world is suffering due to the ‘woke agenda’.
“Unless we reverse the pendulum, we will finish up in a few short years with an under 40s population who are ashamed of their nations, their history, and for those who are born white – racked with guilt. We need to be assertive; we need to be strong; we need to point out that those who came before us, literally died to give us the lives and freedoms we enjoy today. Those values cannot be forgotten.” says Nigel.
Nigel Farage co-founded, and is the longest serving leader, of the UKIP. He is a former Member of the European Parliament for South East England, and was elected in 1999 and re-elected in 2004, 2009 and most recently at the 2014 European parliament election. Farage also has a daily radio program on LBC in London as well as being a regular contributor to US TV network Fox News and Fox Business Network.
This speaking tour has been organised by Turning Point Australia (a division of Turning Point USA); a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to identify, educate, train and organise a community movement to promote the principles of freedom, free markets and limited government.
