“My trip to Milan for the exhibition -The Children of War series”
FROM THE DIARY OF UKRAINIAN ARTIST Iryna Federenko
The trip to Milan for the exhibition was bright and intense, with a lot of pleasant impressions, new acquaintances, communication, beauty and art-The main theme was to talk, shout about Ukraine!
Our task, first of all, is to reveal to the world the truth about what is happening now in Ukraine, art can often say more than just words. It was very important and pleasant that my works received a lot of attention, the paintings from the Children of War series have already traveled to about 20 exhibitions in various galleries and museums around the world and more and more new projects are planned.
My trip was only for a few days, but this time was enough for me to spend it profitably and see the city and its sights.
I was lucky enough to indulge in some delicious Italian cuisine, fragrant wine, a little shopping, thanks to my friends, the program was as rich as possible!
The exhibition was held from October 1 to 10 in Milan Superstudio Village – it was the largest event of Ukrainian culture in Italy, there were presentations of painting, photography, sculpture, books, music, fashion show:.I was a model for a while, and I know that Milan is a city of new opportunities.
The day before, I also visited as a model for a famous brand, they stopped me right on the street and offered to participate in a make-up show, it was interesting.
I returned to Munich with very pleasant impressions and ready to work on new paintings. In November, I plan to participate in a new project in Milan, so see you soon!
Several news items in my creative life are connected with Italy at once: a couple of days ago my personal exhibition in Milan ended as part of the largest Ukrainian cultural project in Italy.
I went to the opening of the exhibition and spent several days there, talking with the audience and guests. I presented my paintings from the “Children of War” series, these works impress people so much that several galleries and museums are negotiating with me to show these works at once.
I am planning to participate in another exhibition in Milan in the middle of November.
*These projects are charitable, by buying paintings you are doing a good deed – helping Ukrainians who have suffered as a result of Russian aggression. Let’s do good deeds together!
Recently, a book about Ukraine by the Director of the Italian Institute of Culture in Kyiv – Edoardo Crisafulli -was published, I highly recommend reading it.
Congratulations to Edoardo and I am proud that my painting from the “Children of War” series was featured on the cover of this book.
And I look forward to the catalog of my paintings, which will be released very soon also thanks to the help of my friends – the Institute of Culture of Italy.
In the meantime, I’m in Munich and will participate in two interesting exhibitions, I invite you to see my work!
