Legendary bass Ferruccio Furlanetto brings “his life in music” to Sydney

The legendary Italian bass Ferruccio Furlanetto will return to Australian shores performing a solo recital for one night only in Sydney on 27 April at City Recital Centre.
This thrilling showcase of an illustrious career spans the almost five decades that Furlanetto has been performing on stage. His previous recital performances in Australia received five star reviews and he describes this new program as an ‘itinerary’ of his life in music.
The program will include Brahms, Mussorgsky and Rachmaninov as well as beloved bass arias from The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni, Boris Godunov and Don Carlos.
Furlanetto is renowned for his vast range, thundering vocal power and masterful acting. He has sung with some of the biggest names in opera, including Luciano Pavarotti, José Carreras, Mirella Freni and Dame Joan Sutherland, and is known as one of the greatest voices of his generation.
In her Australian debut, the award-winning pianist Natalia Sidorenko will accompany Furlanetto in an evening of superb musical virtuosity.
