Rainy Week in Sydney starting 06 may
BOM Forecast
Sydney for Monday Cloudy. Very high chance of showers, becoming less likely in the later afternoon and evening. Winds S/SE 15 to 25 km/h, increasing to 30 to 45 km/h about the coast.
The advance of a trough across the north and center of the state spread clouds across the state and, together with humid onshore winds, intensified instability in eastern NSW, leading to intense rainfall.
“NSW SES is on the front foot both with our own personnel and with partner agencies to make sure we are ready to respond,” a spokesman from the NSW SES said.
The Bureau of Meteorology meteorologist said,..” showers were expected to continue over the next seven days as an easterly flow continued to move onto the coastline from a high pressure system sitting over Tasmania.”
