LIBERALS SURGE IN EPPING AND HORNSBY AS VOTERS REJECT LABOR’S FAILURES

The Liberal Party has secured strong victories in Epping and Hornsby, with strong swings toward the Liberals, who’ve campaigned hard on the key issues for voters, namely cost of living, housing pressure, and cuts to essential services and infrastructure, with Labor is offering no solutions.

Premier Chris Minns didn’t have the courage to test his government’s performance at the ballot box, field candidates in any of the by-elections and be accountable for his government’s many failures and absence of vision. Voters are worse off under Labor.

The path to victory in Pittwater now looks extremely difficult, even though counting continues. The circumstances of the former member’s resignation, and the disappointment of failure to nominate candidates in the Northern Beaches Council elections, have clearly had their toll.

Elsewhere where there haven’t been those special circumstances, the Liberal 2PP and primary votes have increased substantially.

Liberal Leader Mark Speakman said the results in Epping and Hornsby is a clear rejection of the Minns Labor Government’s failures.

“The people of Epping and Hornsby have spoken loud and clear—they are worse off under the Minns Labor Government. Labor’s cuts, chaos and empty announcements have done nothing to address rising cost of living, the housing crisis, or the pressure on families. People are tired of excuses and want leadership that delivers real solutions.”

“These wins are also a testament to the tireless work of our candidates, volunteers, staff, and MPs. Every door knocked, every call made, and every conversation had made the difference. Their dedication and hard work have been instrumental, and these victories belong to them all,” said Mr Speakman.
