Lakemba Nights during Ramadan 2025
This event was a huge success in 2024, with record-breaking crowds of over 1.5M attendees to Haldon Street, to experience the rich food, culture and traditions of this event.

One of Sydney’s most popular cultural events, Lakemba Nights during Ramadan, will return in 2025!
The spectacular month-long cultural event is a vibrant, global food bazaar, which takes place during the month of Ramadan.
Break your fast or try new foods and experience the rich culture and traditions of Ramadan. There will be over 60 food stalls and food trucks to tempt your tastebuds, in an atmosphere like no other.
There is very limited parking so make sure you avoid the crowds by using the FREE shuttle bus, brought to you by Western Union, starting from 6.30pm or catch public transport to Lakemba. The FREE shuttle bus runs from Campsie and Roselands to Haldon Street, Lakemba.
Note: Road closures will be in place every day from 27 February-30 March between 4pm and 4.30am. For more information on road closures and how to apply for a resident or business permit, please visit the road closures and permits page.

How to get there
Get ready to dive into the vibrant world of Lakemba Nights during Ramadan! Here’s the scoop on how to get there and make the most of your visit:
- 📍 Where: Haldon Street, Lakemba – right in the heart of the action!
- 🚗 Parking & Road Closures: Heads up – road closures and detours will be in place from 27 February to March 2025, every Thur-Sun 6pm-2am. Parking’s gonna be tight, so we suggest opting for public transport or the FREE Western Union shuttle bus. Click here for more information on road closures.
We highly recommend taking public transport. Please note this year the metro upgrade will affect the T3 Bankstown Line for the duration of this event, with no trains running to Lakemba but there will be FREE replacement buses.
- 🪑 Seating: Heads up – seating’s gonna be limited, so prepare for a couple of hours on your feet. But hey, with all the excitement around, who needs to sit down anyway?
