Cathay Pacific reaches new heights in Brisbane and Perth
Cathay Pacific will increase its Brisbane and Perth services from 26 October 2025, offering twice daily flights, year-round from each city. The flight frequency will be ramped up ahead of Australia’s summer travel peak.
The number of Cathay Pacific flights per week for Perth will rise from 11 to 14, while Brisbane services will expand from 12 to 14 per week.
Sydney and Melbourne continue their multiple daily services alongside seasonal flights from Cairns, while a new summer seasonal service from Adelaide is returning to the Southwest Pacific network, with non-stop flights to Hong Kong starting from 11 November 2025.
Cathay Regional General Manager, Southwest Pacific, Frosti Lau said: “We’re incredibly pleased to see increased flights for both Brisbane and Perth. Every new service is an opportunity to open more doors for our customers, and we’re proud to serve as a key gateway for both travellers and freight to Hong Kong and beyond from these two cities. Over the summer when travel numbers soar, Cathay Pacific will be operating over 80 weekly flights from Australia.
“This month, the Cathay Group is also celebrating our network reaching 100 passenger destinations worldwide which is a landmark milestone in our commitment to expanding our global footprint, enabling our passengers and cargo to connect with more of the world’s most captivating cities and cultures”

“Cathay Pacific plays a crucial role in supporting business travel, as well as making it easier for tourists and international students to come to WA. The airline also plays an important role in connecting to the Chinese Mainland, Japan, Europe and North America.
“And our partnership continues to grow which highlights the airline’s ongoing commitment to Perth as a destination.
“The increased number of services results in more than 200,000 seats each way being available on the route per year.
“It also provides local exporters with crucial cargo capacity between Perth, Hong Kong, North Asia and globally.”
