Palace Cinema ,Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park – Sydney was transported to the heart of Paris last night as the Alliance Française French Film Festival (FFF) launched its 35th edition with a glittering opening gala at the Entertainment Quarter. The evening’s highlight was a special preview screening of the highly anticipated documentary, “Charles Aznavour: Look at Me,” a poignant tribute to the legendary French-Armenian singer and songwriter.

The red carpet shimmered with Sydney’s cinephiles, Francophiles, and cultural luminaries, all eager to immerse themselves in the celebration of French cinema. The Entertainment Quarter’s Hoyts cinema complex was transformed into a bastion of Parisian chic, with guests enjoying champagne and canapés before the screening.

“Charles Aznavour: Look at Me,” directed by Marc di Domenico, offered an intimate and insightful look into the life and career of the iconic artist. Using previously unseen archival footage, including home movies and concert recordings, the documentary provided a compelling narrative of Aznavour’s extraordinary journey, from his humble beginnings to global superstardom.
