CELEBRATE 30 YEARS OF “SPEED” WITH A HILARIOUS PARODY SHOW AT PRAHRAN’S SO SOIREE FRINGE GARDEN
September 30, 2024
Get ready to buckle up as Speed: The Movie, The Play brings its high-octane hilarity to this year’s So Soiree Fringe Garden, Stonnington’s southside partnership with Melbourne Fringe Festival.
A wildly funny parody of the iconic 1994 thriller “Speed,” the show is celebrating the 30th birthday of the beloved film and its unforgettable stars, Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock.
“Speed” has been called the greatest action movie of the 1990s and the show is surprisingly faithful to the plot and script of the original movie.
Natalie Bochenski , the show’s producer and co-writer, says it’s a high-octane, low-fi nostalgia trip that always has audiences laughing out loud.
“It’s 60 minutes of fun from start to finish aboard a 30-year-old vintage Mercedes Benz bus, courtesy of a dedicated member of the Bus Preservation Society of Victoria. Our audiences become the passengers held hostage on the bus, creating a hilarious immersive experience.”
Don’t miss out on celebrating the 30th birthday of this fast-paced homage to a film that redefined the action genre! With only 40 tickets per performance, sessions will sell out quickly. See the full 2024 program and purchase tickets at So Soiree and see what’s happening at #so soiree.
