Go big on the final day of Sydney Film festival
Media release Sunday 15 June
It’s the final day of Sydney Film Festival, and we’re feeling a little sentimental – not just because of the triumphant SENTIMENTAL VALUE screening last night! Over at Town Hall, audiences heard from some of the most inspiring storytellers in the world – Hideo Kojima and George Miller upstairs, and Justin Kurzel downstairs.
Today is your last big chance: catch up with Official Competition titles THE LOVE THAT REMAINS at the State and the Orpheum, and ROMERÍA at the Ritz, or the acclaimed new film YOUNG MOTHERS from the Dardenne Brothers at the State Library. (And remember: the GIO Audience Awards close at midnight. Make sure you vote for your Festival faves!)
Then, at Closing Night, the winners will be revealed and we’ll bid farewell to this year’s Festival in high style with rollicking rom-com SPLITSVILLE, fresh from Cannes – with director Michael Angelo Covino in attendance! Get in quick – final tickets available.
On our last day together, feel the big love and, of course, see the bigger picture!
