New exhibition THE PAPER CUT at Disorder Gallery

Quirky and enchanting handcrafted paper works by talented emerging Sydney-based artist Rosie Handley will be exhibited for the first time when her debut solo show opens at Disorder Gallery on Thursday 2 May.

‘The paper cut’ features 20 original collage works inspired by the natural environment versus the urban shapes of the city, our Australian coastal environment, and ideas around what home and being female means.

“Through collage, each piece offers a unique blend of fantastical imagery, inviting viewers to delve into the dynamic interplay of shapes and textures in a thought-provoking exploration of our surroundings and identities,” says Rosie.

Rosie is an emerging artist and illustrator. She studied at the UNSW College of Fine Arts, has participated in various group art shows, won multiple graphic design awards and illustrated a children’s picture book called ‘The Best Cat, the Est Cat’. Her beautiful bespoke illustrations and collage work can also be seen in the State Library of NSW’s magazine, Openbook.

The paper cut is a free exhibition at Disorder Gallery, Darlinghurst from May 2 to 18. All of the original works will be available for sale, along with a selection of prints.
