SYDNEY COMEDY FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES GREAT LAUGH IN THE PARK -A FREE OUTDOOR COMEDY SHOWCASE FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
Sydney Comedy Festival is thrilled to announce Great Laugh in the Park, a one-of-a-kind, FREE family event taking over Darling Harbour’s Tumbalong Park with its ferociously funny, family-friendly line-up on Saturday 26th April from 12pm to 8:30pm.
Hosted by Australian comedy legend, ABC Kid’s Giggle and Hoot’s Jimmy Rees OAM will be joined by:
• Australia’s favourite rose-eating dinosaur The Wiggles’ Dorothy the Dinosaur
• Award-winning kids’ comedy duo, ABC Art Blast’s The Listies, for those aged 5-500 million
• Sell-out sensation at the Edinburgh Fringe, The Greatest Magic Show, featuring mind-boggling
illusions and extraordinary circus acts.
For the big kids at heart, Gala on the Green hits the main stage in the evening with an incredible line-up
of comedy’s greatest global superstars including:
• 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown’s Sara Pascoe
• American stand-up comic, Drew Lynch, known for his Golden Buzzer-winning performance on
Season 10 of America’s Got Talent
• Acclaimed Texan comedian BBC QI’s Kemah Bob
• Australia’s very own comedy favourites Nick Cody, Matt Okine and Aunty Donna
Following the Gala, kick on with epic party band Furnace and the Fundamentals and an exciting line up of DJs, who will keep the energy high as the sun goes down. Plus, throughout the day, experience delicious onsite food trucks and pop-up bar, roving performers and party favourites including face painting, temporary tattoos, crazy hair and crafts. Events will run across the park’s three venues – the Giggle
Garden, The Alcazar Circus Tent, and main stage – from noon to nightfall!
“This free event is the first of its kind in the Festival’s 20-year history! We are so excited to give back to the community in this amazing outdoor space full of fun for everyone.
