Following the announcement by the NSW Premier that the Greater Sydney lockdown will be extended until 30 September, the Art Gallery is very sad to let our community know that because it will remain closed to the public during this time, our three current temporary exhibitions will not reopen in Sydney.
They are the magnificent Hilma af Klint: The Secret Paintings exhibition; the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes 2021 and Archie 100: A Century of the Archibald Prize exhibition.
If you purchased timed tickets to one of these exhibitions your tickets will be refunded. If you purchased online, you will receive an automatic refund and don’t need to contact us. If you purchased tickets onsite at the Art Gallery, please call us on 9225 1744 with your ticket and payment details so that we can organise a refund.
Our greatest hope is that these exhibitions are able to open at their next venues so future audiences can enjoy them there.
The Art Gallery is extremely grateful for the generous support of its many partners and sponsors who make possible our diverse exhibition program each year here in Sydney.
We also acknowledge and thank all artists who worked tirelessly to submit their works to the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes 2021 exhibition.
Best wishes,
Michael Brand |
