Grants open for NSW Small Business Month
Rebuild, Recharge, Renew during NSW Small Business MonthGrants of $2,500 for local councils and $3,500 for chambers of commerce, industry associations and not-for-profit groups are available to help them organise events for the fifth NSW Small Business Month in March 2022. Other organisations are invited to become a collaboration partner to connect with small businesses, give back to their local business community and promote their services. Small Business Month is a unique opportunity to help the State’s hardworking small business owners by offering events that teach them new skills, inspire them with new ideas and connect them with their fellow entrepreneurs. The theme of this Small Business Month is `Rebuild, Recharge, Renew’, which reflects the NSW Government’s determination to help small businesses recover from their recent challenges and build a brighter, stronger future. Grant applications open for 2022 program NSW local councils can apply for a grant of up to $2,500 (GST exempt) and chambers of commerce, industry associations and not-for-profits can apply for a grant of up to $3,500 (GST exempt) to deliver activities that directly benefit and support their local small business community from 1 to 31 March 2022. Activities can be in person or online and must be COVID-19 safe. Examples include webinars, networking, podcasts, talks and workshops. This is a great opportunity to showcase your business and connect with the small business community. It’s easy and free to join. In 2020 we engaged 152 collaboration partners who ran 372 activities reaching 37,920 registrants. Partners included American Express, Commonwealth Bank, Google, the ATO, the Black Dog Institute and Western Sydney University.
