Israelis rally in Tel Aviv for release of all hostages

SHARON ARONOWICZ,

Israelis protest in Tel Aviv to demand that the government complete all phases of the truce with Hamas, in order to allow the release of all the hostages held in the Gaza Strip.

Under the first ongoing stage of the three-phase deal, 33 hostages seized by Hamas during its October 7, 2023 assault on Israel were to be returned from Gaza in exchange for around 1,900 Palestinians.

Negotiations for a second phase of the deal were set to start on Monday, the 16th day of the first stage of truce.

‘There is no time’: Israeli protesters call for immediate release of all hostages

“The horrendous scene we have witnessed today, this morning, is just a reminder that the fate of all the remaining hostages is in our hands and we must do everything within our power to get them back as soon as possible,” says Zahiro-Shahar Mor, nephew of dead hostage Avraham Munder, during a rally in Tel Aviv. “There is no time. We’ve all seen them.” The frail, disoriented appearance of Ohad Ben Ami, Or Levy and Eli Sharabi, the three freed hostages on Saturday, sparked dismay among their relatives.
