MARTLEW ON A QUEST FOR REDEMPTION ON FINAL DAY
Para canoe has been a highlight of the Paralympic Games since it was added to the programme at Rio 2016. Scott Martlew finished fifth in the men’s KL2 on Saturday, missing the podium by 0.21 seconds. He competes again today in the men’s va’a VL3, with his sights set on earning his first Paralympic medal.

KAMIJI GETS GOLD IN
MEMORABLE FINAL
Japan’s Yui Kamiji defeated legendary Dutch wheelchair tennis player Diede de Groot brilliantly to earn her first women’s singles Paralympic title and end the Netherlands’ gold medal streak. A rematch from the Tokyo 2020 final, an emotional Kamiji won gold as tears flowed freely on the podium at Roland Garros.
