After an eleven-year hiatus, Monarchy is touring Down Under – and tomorrow the Australian Republic Movement is launching its campaign to Wave Goodbye to Royal Reign with Monarchy: The Farewell Oz Tour!

Australia’s constitutional monarchy can be difficult to understand: did you know that 40% of Australians don’t realise that London-based King Charles III is our Head of State?

So let’s change the conversation.

This week is our opportunity to invite people into a new discussion about Australian culture and Australian democracy. We know that 92% of Australians are open to an Australian republic with a head of state elected by us and accountable only to us.

As Australians welcome our overseas guests, let’s reframe this touring show as the final visit of a reigning monarch.

With thanks to our campaign partners at Bureau of Everything, we’ve created a bold, lighthearted campaign that resets the conversation about the future of the monarchy in Australia.

It’s time for Australia to say ‘thanks, but we’ve got it from here’.
