THANK A COP THIS CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS
The NSW Opposition is encouraging people to spare a thought for our police officers who will be working to keep communities safe this holiday period.
Shadow Minister for Police Paul Toole has thanked personnel for their service, especially those who are working away from home.
“Whilst the Christmas/New Year season means a time of rest, relaxation and family gatherings for most of us, it doesn’t mean the same for members of the NSW Police Force,” Mr Toole said.
“While we enjoy the festivities, NSW Police stand watch, showing the true spirit of the holidays through their courage, resilience, and compassion.
“Despite their incredible work, policing can be a thankless career. So when our officers hang up their belts and boots after a long day’s work, I hope they go home knowing they have made our State a better place,” Mr Toole said.
“Police are the guardians of our community, and our society would not function without them.
“Thank you for your sacrifices, for the long hours you put in, and for the challenges you face head-on. Thank you for upholding the law, maintaining peace, and being a beacon of hope in our society. Your dedication makes our community a safer and better place for everyone.”
If you see NSW Police force out and about over the holidays completing routine patrols or conducting breathalysing on your travels, please be courteous and thank them for their service.
