Guide Dog Puppies taking over Martin Place for International Guide Dog Day – 30th April!
Sydney,29 April,2025
Guide Dogs NSW/ACT ahead of International Guide Dogs Day (IGDD) is taking over Martin Place with lots of lab-radorable Puppies to celebrate the day, it will be the largest puppy pop-up yet!
The best lunch break ever: For one day only on Wednesday 30th April 2025, Guide Dogs is bringing the best of puppy cuteness right to the heart of the city where Sydneysiders will have the opportunity to pat puppies, watch Guide Dog training demonstrations, and learn more about these incredible dogs from the Guide Dogs team.

A yellow guide dog in harness sits on the pavement in an urban environment.
There will also be a very special guest this year – Gulliver, the beloved and iconic 6-foot Labrador mascot will be joining the puppy pop-up in the city!
This year for IGDD, Guide Dogs NSW/ACT is collaborating with the City of Sydney to launch the ‘Is Inclusion on Your Menu” campaign, encouraging the community to better understand the legal access rights for Guide Dogs as many individuals living with low vision and blindness still get denied entry to hospitality venues because of their dog.
City goers will have the chance to chat with people in the low vision and blind community about life with their Guide Dog, why vital access rights are so important and how the general public can get involved to help break down barriers, creating a more inclusive world for all.
On 28th April the campaign will also come to life in the streets of Sydney, as Guide Dogs NSW/ACT will be taking over The City of Sydney banner network to celebrate the day.
So Sydneysiders, get ready for a cuteness overload and a fun day of celebrations – the Puppy Pop-Up is open to everyone and best part ….it’s free!
