Publicity Release Sydney,17 July, 2025
Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), the Philippines’ leading carrier, brings the warmth and richness of Filipino culture to Australia with the launch of the Cebu Pacific Travel Beach Bar at Bondi Beach, a first-of-its-kind heated beach bar offering visitors of the annual Bondi Festival a unique way to experience the Philippines.
The travel beach bar is surrounded by standing heaters that create a warm ambiance reminiscent of the Philippine climate, offering a perfect escape from the country’s winter season. It also features Filipino delicacies from Darlinghurst restaurant Takam, music, and a design inspired by the traditional bahay kubo (nipa hut), bringing a slice of the Philippines to Bondi Beach.
Until July 31, 2025, travelers from Australia may book flights to Manila for as low as AUD 269 for a one-way all-in fare. The travel period is from August 1 to December 31, 2025, perfect for holiday getaways.
CEB’s travel beach bar marks the first time an airline becomes an official airline partner of the Bondi Festival—a pioneering collaboration that underscores CEB’s commitment to bringing Filipino fun to the world stage. Festivalgoers can drop by the Cebu Pacific Travel Beach Bar until July 20.
The travel beach bar builds on CEB’s Fly to Your Happy Philippines campaign, as the airline continues its global efforts to invite travelers to explore the country’s diverse islands in their own unique way. With daily flights between Manila and Sydney, and four weekly flights from Melbourne, Australians have direct access to a wide range of destinations across CEB’s domestic network.
From Manila, CEB passengers can fly to 27 other Philippine destinations. Guests can fly direct to Palawan, known for its lagoons, limestone cliffs, and the Underground River in Puerto Princesa. They can also go diving in Coron or discover the beaches and islands of El Nido.
For other cultural experiences, Cebu and Davao offer popular festivals like Sinulog and Kadayawan, along with historic landmarks. Iloilo is also a top pick for its culinary scene, with specialties like La Paz Batchoy (noodle soup with pork ingredients), Pancit Molo (pork dumpling soup), and biscocho (buttered toast).
With the airline’s low fares and widest domestic reach, travelers can start their journey to happiness in the Philippine capital. They can also connect to the airline’s other regional hubs such as Clark, Cebu, Iloilo, and Davao, for faster inter-island access within the country.
CEB launched its Manila-Sydney route in 2014, followed by Manila-Melbourne in 2018. The airline has flown over 250 million passengers as it continues to offer affordable and accessible flights.
CEB operates in 37 domestic and 26 international destinations spread across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
