Publicity Media Release Sydney 22 July,2025
Yum Yum Bakery, a traditional Lebanese cuisine restaurant, has announced to expand beyond its Guildford roots with the second home in Concord. This milestone marks a new chapter for the brand as it builds on a 35-year legacy of hospitality, heritage and neighbourhood connection.
Recently named one of the city’s most iconic cafes by Good Food, Yum Yum Bakery’s new flagship has been officially open on Friday 27 June 2025 at 50 Mortlake Street, Concord, bringing the restaurant’s signature blend of nostalgia and fresh takes to Sydney’s Inner West.
“Equipped with a state-of-the-art kitchen, Yum Yum Bakery’s Concord serves up a menu that balances its cult classics with fresh creations. From wood-fired Awarma and Egg Manoush, crispy Halloumi Spring Rolls, to Lamb Shawarma Tacos, this expansion brings Yum Yum’s soulful hospitality to a new corner of Sydney.”
Designed to celebrate both Lebanese tradition and Sydney’s modern cafe culture, the new space features Venetian plaster walls, merbau timber ceilings, terrazzo benchtops and a hand-built gas brick oven, crafted by a Lebanese artisan. Signature booth seating encourages the communal dining experience that has long been central to the institution’s offering.
Founded in 1990, Yum Yum Bakery began as a small family-run store in Guildford, built on a passion for sharing the flavours of Lebanese hospitality with the local community. Over the decades, it has grown into a beloved Sydney institution, celebrated for its authentic Middle
Eastern cuisine and warm, community-driven service that bridges generations. Yum Yum Bakery’s Concord opening reflects its growth as a trusted Sydney’s dining scene – a place where heritage, good food and heartfelt service come together.
