Glebe’s The Toxteth pub launches best rooftop experience in the Inner West

The Toxteth Hotel, Glebe’s iconic neighborhood pub, has expanded to launch an elegant roof terrace with spectacular city views and a glimpse of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge.The beloved Inner West local, affectionately known as the ‘Tocky’, is central to the area’s buzzing social scene and the Tocky Terrace takes it to the next level with an expansive and refined top floor to enjoy drinks and food including the exclusive rooftop bottomless brunch.
With downstairs dedicated to casual drinks, dining and live sports, the Tocky Terrace offers a sophisticated experience for the young social crowd flocking to the area. The
contemporary design aesthetic features micro cement bars and plush booths with terrazzo tiles, textured renders and brass accents, offering a luxury new experience within Glebe’s iconic Toxteth Hotel. The green and white palette brings a sleek, light feel with panoramic windows overlooking the skyline and a retractable roof for all weathers.
By day its booths and tables are sun-drenched spot for coffee, brunch and summer gatherings, and by night the twinkling city lights make the Tocky Terrace a vibrant
destination for drinks and cocktails. The new space is just ten minutes from Sydney’s CBD and it sits firmly on the map as the best rooftop experience in the Inner West.
With Christmas just a couple of months away the Tocky Terrace is taking bookings for festive get-togethers and New Year’s Eve parties; the hidden gem’s prime location, sleek design and spectacular views have sparked huge demand with NYE bookings filling fast already. The versatile destination has also been designed to host a range of functions and events. The Tocky Terrace has a maximum capacity of 250 and a range of flexible floor plans suited to everything from smaller celebrations like baby showers and hen parties to large-scale parties for birthdays, corporate events and consumer product launches .
The Toxteth partners with a collective of suppliers for its food and drink menus including Accolade Wines, Clarity Cru, Pacdon Park Artisan Butchers and Oatley Fine Wine Merchants, chosen for their exceptional products spanning a range of palates and budgets.

“The food menu has been elevated to fresh heights in line with the Tocky Terrace’s refined offering. With an emphasis on sharing plates, new dishes including tuna ceviche, Hokkaido scallops, crispy cauliflower bites and creamy Burrata and sourdough are perfect to enjoy as a group with cocktails or rosé as the sun sets over the city.”

Its cocktail menu delivers the trusted classics alongside cheeky newcomers like the Limoncello Mojito, Agua Del Rancho and the carafe of Skyline Spritz – a fizzy, fruity
number inspired by the new rooftop bar.
Weekends are all about the Tocky’s rooftop bottomless brunch ($85pp), an indulgent menu of steak frites, blue swimmer crab gnocchi, colourful salads and sides and free -pouring tipples including Mimosas, Hardys Riddle Sparkling Brut, 4 Pines Pacific Ale and the brunch classic – Bloody Marys.

Mitchell and Harriet Waugh of Public House Management Group took over The Toxteth in 2018, continuing its legacy as a Glebe institution while refining its interiors with a design overhaul. They introduced new menus celebrating seasonal ingredients and a modern drinks menu with organic wines, vegan offerings and beers from local breweries. Curving round the corner of Glebe Point Road, the Toxteth has a broad appeal welcoming long -time regulars, locals, visitors to Sydney, families and groups of mates.
