Guildford Gears Up for a Feel-Good Comeback with Food, Friends & Festival Fun!

Sydney,22 May,2025

Guildford is set to light up once again as the beloved Back to Guildford Festival returns to town on Saturday 24 May 2025, from 4pm to 9pm along Guildford Road.

Following last year’s incredible turnout and success, which sparked a 64% spike in local spending and a 39% increase in transactions*, the 2025 festival promises even more live entertainment, family fun, and community pride.

This year’s festival will feature an ever-popular ‘Cross Street Cruisers’ car display by Oldskool Muscle Car Cruises, a sweet lane for dessert lovers, market stalls, community activities and local food businesses and pop-up vendors.

The action and fun doesn’t stop there, with live performances from the Arabian Tunes Band, Joey Presto Magic Show, The Mik Mak Show, XS Events and Dauntless Stunt Show, DJ Jordan Magro and more!

Cumberland Mayor Ola Hamed said the festival is more than just a good time, it’s about creating safe, inclusive, and vibrant spaces for the whole community.

“It’s a great opportunity for families to enjoy free entertainment, support local businesses, and come together as a community,” Mayor Hamed said.

“We know women can experience public spaces differently, and Council is committed to making sure everyone feels safe, confident, and welcome across Cumberland.”

The event builds on the work of Cumberland City Council’s partnership with Transport for NSW’s Safer Cities: Her Way Program, enhancing safety and access for women and girls across Guildford.

Road Closures will be in place from 5am, Saturday 24 May 2025 to 2am, Sunday 25 May 2025 from Guildford Road where it connects with Railway Terrace and Talbot Road. Parts of Cross Street and Station Street connecting to Guildford Rd will also be closed during this time.

*The increased spend was measured through local spending and transactions on Saturday 25 May 2023 and Saturday 25 May 2024.
