Oktoberfest fun is brewing at Munich Brauhaus and The Bavarian!
Wednesday, October 9th: Oktoberfest fans are in for a month-long celebration as Munich Brauhaus and The Bavarian become home to this iconic event. From now until October 27th, these popular venues will be transformed into festive Oktoberfest hubs, offering an experience to remember.
Munich Brauhaus (NSW & VIC) – The renowned German restaurants invite Oktoberfest enthusiasts to explore the main event of the season! On October 19th, Munich Brauhaus will be hosting the highly anticipated Oktoberfest Street Party, in The Rocks, and the Oktoberfest Biergarten Party, in South Wharf. This day will be packed with keg taps, live music, Schuhplattler slap dancers, and exciting traditional games such as yodelling and stein-holding competitions, offering participants the chance to win various gift vouchers.
At Munich Brauhaus The Rocks, the big Street Party will start with the ceremonial opening keg tap by the Consul General of Germany in Sydney; While in Melbourne, the festivities will kick off in the iconic biergarten with an Oktoberfest Parade. Both locations will crown a “Mayor of Munich” at the end of the party, with the winner receiving a $200 gift voucher.
In addition to these parties, Munich Brauhaus will also host daily Oktoberfest festivities throughout the month, featuring Oktoberfest Bier Towers, the Yodelahihi Oktoberfest Platter, steins of German beer, and haus Schnapps. For those with a sweet tooth, the Kaiserschmarrn dessert is available. A live German Oompah band will perform from Wednesday to Sunday every week, bringing the traditional sounds of Munich to life.

The Bavarian (NSW, QLD & VIC) – Major locations of The Bavarian brand will also take centre stage with Oktoberfest parties in October. These special events will feature live German Oompah bands, Oktoberfest games, and a traditional keg tap ceremony at 7pm. The parties will take place on the following dates:
- NSW: York Street (October 4th), World Square (October 11th), Manly & Miranda (October 12th)
- QLD: Mackay (October 12th), Chermside (October 19th)
Guests can join the celebrations with an Oktoberfest Tasting Paddle, showcasing four 200ml German beers, and indulge in the Oktoberfest Platter featuring Bavarian favourites such as pork knuckle, pork belly, and Schweinebraten. German bier or haus Schnapps are also available. Those with a sweet tooth will love The Bavarian’s signature Apple Strudel.
In addition to these select venues that feature Oktoberfest parties, all The Bavarian locations across Australia will be decked out in traditional Oktoberfest décor with ribbons, garlands, and the sounds of Oompah bands, ensuring an authentic and festive atmosphere for everyone to enjoy.
