Tasmania’s Premier Sparkling Festival | Tickets on sale NOW!

Tasmania’s premier sparkling wine festival returns to Josef Chromy

From 8-10 November, Tasmania’s top sparkling winemakers will join forces again for Effervescence 2024!

This year’s program features all of your fizzy favourites, including the Effervescence Gala Dinner, Grand Tasting, sparkling wine masterclasses featuring both local and international producers, the Bubbles & Beats after-party and a new VIP experience, in addition to a myriad of support events located across Launceston and surrounding regions.

Fifteen of Tasmania’s premier sparkling wine producers will be showcased throughout Effervescence, allowing you to meet the makers behind your favourite bubbles.

Early-bird tickets for Saturday’s events are available now until midnight Saturday 7 September, or until sold out!

Saturday 9 November

Good news, this year, you can purchase all your Josef Chromy festival tickets in the one go, including return bus tickets from Launceston.

Event partner festival tickets will need to be purchased separately.

Gala Dinner and VIP Experiences

Every year, we kick off the festival with our black tie gala dinner. With tables hosted by our wineries, there are a very small number of tickets available to the public. Best be quick!

This year’s Effervescence will welcome award-winning wine journalist and presenter Cassandra Charlick as Effervescence Ambassador who will host the new Effervescence VIP Experience.

This new premium package includes an exclusive brunch event ahead of early access to the Grand Tasting and exclusive access to the VIP pavilion.

Afterwards, guests will enjoy a two-course lunch at the Josef Chromy Restaurant, followed by an in-depth tasting of sparklings from around the world at the International Masterclass hosted by senior sparkling winemaker Loic le Calvez and acclaimed wine writer Huon Hooke.

Tickets for the new VIP Experience are very limited.

*A note on booking fees.
