RENEWED SHADOW CABINET MEETS IN NOWRA
The Coalition’s renewed shadow cabinet has met for the first time in Nowra today.
Leader of the Opposition Mark Speakman said the team is made up of years of experience across multiple sectors, putting it in a strong position to hold the Minns Labor government to account.
“We all know NSW is a fantastic place to live and we will continue to work hard to provide our residents and businesses with what they need,” Mr Speakman said.
“Our shadow ministers bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their roles, which they will use to deliver alternate solutions and help people through tough times like the current cost-of-living crisis.
“We need to keep this Government in check and make sure it doesn’t sacrifice our economic security to meet the demands of its union mates.”
NSW Nationals Leader Dugald Saunders said the move will reinvigorate the team with some fresh faces.
“A part of being an effective Opposition is valuing the experience we have, while also bringing in fresh talent to shake things up,” Mr Saunders said.
“I’m excited to welcome some extremely dedicated MPs into roles within shadow cabinet and I know they will bring new ideas to the table to benefit the people of NSW.
“Whether you live in the city or the regions, you deserve better than what you are getting under this Minns Labor Government, and we will remind the Premier and his Ministers of that every single day.
