MARDI GRAS PARADE HARDSHIP BALLOT

Proudly provided by our Principal Partner American ExpressAmerican Express and Sydney Mardi Gras want to make the Parade as accessible as possible for all members of our LGBTQI+ communities, especially those who have been adversely affected by the ongoing pandemic.

Although there is a small price for general admission tickets to help cover the costs of operating a COVID-Safe event, we have set aside 3,000 free tickets for anyone who is feeling the financial impact of COVID-19.

The Hardship Ballot has been set up to support those in our community who are experiencing financial strain and cannot afford a ticket to Parade.

WHAT DO RECIPIENTS OF THE HARDSHIP BALLOT RECEIVE?

If your entry is drawn and is successful, you will receive TWO complimentary tickets for you and a friend to attend and watch the Parade live from the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday 5 March 2022.

The health and safety of our community and Festival attendees has always been extremely important to us, and we have been working closely with NSW Health to guide our planning for the 2022 Festival.

Each year, for 44 years, nothing has stopped us from gathering to celebrate together, to call for change and to remember those who came before us.

In 2022, despite the great uncertainty of what next year will look like, we will honour our commitment to continuing the legacy of delivering a Parade for the community.
